Be part of the sustainable movement and make your next creation out of bamboo!
Tiger Strand bamboo plywood uses strand technology to turn 100% rapidly renewable bamboo into a beautiful yet exceptionally durable green building material. Our Strand bamboo plywood is architectural-grade for better dimensional stability and can be cut and sanded using conventional woodworking equipment.
Don’t get fooled by cheaper brands on the market, they look very similar to ours on the surface but their core is mostly built with short bamboo strips which means that they will often split and show gaps and muddy fillers in their core layer. Unlike these low quality versions, Bamboo Design’s bamboo plywood is a real cross-laminated architectural grade structure. Our bamboo plywood is assembled using only full-length bamboo strips to fill its core layer. This means that it won’t split and will allow for very beautiful edges that can be left exposed and a much better dimensional stability.

LEED® Credits
Bamboo Design and LEED® certification
All bamboo plywood products offered by Bamboo Design & Architecture are eligible for LEED® certification.
LEED® Canada has changed the way we see our living, working and learning environments. LEED®, which stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is a certification program directed by an independent organization. It is also an international benchmark for designing, building and operating environmentally friendly and highly energy-efficient buildings.
Interest in low-environmental-impact residential and commercial buildings continues to grow. American studies are already showing that in certain markets, LEED®-certified houses are selling for 8% higher and don’t stay on the market as long as similar uncertified homes.
