General Guidelines for installation of Plyboo® Acoustical Panels
Our customers have typically used Z-Clips to install Plyboo panels and we have heard of few installation issues reported while using this system. If site conditions cannot accommodate a Monarch Z-Clips system, others have successfully used a micro screw to penetrate through the panel and attach to a supporting structure. When using this method, for best results care should be taken to pre-drill the face layer and to attach the panel to suitable supports (e.g., studs).
Carefully consider all your installation options because, depending on your particular requirements and limitations, other installation methods and systems may well be better suited. The screw holding power of our Plyboo panel is better than MDF so there are other options for you to consider as well. Because we can only provide the most general installation guidelines and because the Monarch Z-Clips system can accommodate a cleaner installation and has been reported by our customers to perform in other installations, we describe a typical installation for your consideration.
